As a volunteer search and rescue team we cannot establish or even maintain operational efficiency and serve the local community without the help and support of local people, local companies and local business’s alike.
Therefore we are constantly seeking to forge links, relationships and working partnerships to enable us to do just that. We are also applying for start up grants available through local government schemes.
It costs over £1,200 to equip a Watersafe UK Search and Rescue Volunteer
The Personal Protective Equipment includes, a drysuit, personal flotation device, helmet, torch, water rescue boots, knife, thermal undergarments, personal decontamination kit for flood water and a throw line are amongst many other smaller items of equipment issued to each member.
