Welcome to the home of Watersafe UK Search and Rescue Team - We are a voluntary search and rescue team operating within Derbyshire, the East Midlands, across the UK and worldwide. We work in partnership with other Emergency Services in a range of situations.
Searches for Missing Persons and Swift Water Rescue
Support and Water Safety Cover at public and private events
Water Rescue demonstrations including the use of newfoundland water rescue dogs.
Assist the emergency services in times of natural disaster or civil emergency. 
We work directly with East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and Derbyshire Police. We provide specialist water support to increase the operational abilities of both organisations. We respond nationally and internationally to flood rescue and search calls as well as emergency swift water rescue and flooding incidents within the East Midlands.
The majority of our team members are drawn from front line emergency services personnel and have over 150 Years cumulative experience in the Fire and Rescue Service and more than 300 Years in Hospital and pre-Hospital medical care. We also have a specialist water rescue dog section consisting of two newfoundland water rescue dogs, Boris and Tuggs. The rescue dogs are a new addition to WUKSART - over the next few months we will be training with the dogs and our intention is for them to become a fully operational part of the team.
